Engineering Management

We develop and manage complex engineering programmes with the depth of vibration, dynamics, fatigue, FEA and measurement expertise. Applying lessons learned from design, testing and investigations, we provide leadership, governance and technical direction that reduces lifecycle risk and delivers reliable products and systems.

Independent, evidence-based management — underpinned by field measurement, modelling, product testing and standards compliance (BS, EN, ISO, API, RTCA, Mil-Std-810).

What is Engineering Management?

Engineering management combines engineering expertise with management principles to deliver technical projects, systems and products effectively. It ensures that design, product development, analysis and testing are aligned with business goals, safety standards and lifecycle reliability.

In practice, it covers product design and development, project planning, technical governance, evidence-based decision making and risk management — while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders. Unlike general management, engineering management requires both deep technical knowledge and leadership skills to ensure that complex designs and products are delivered safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.

Our Process: From Problem to Proven Solution

From acquisition to analysis — accuracy starts with the person or team that captured the measurement data. With over 40 years of measurement and engineering experience, we follow a structured yet adaptable approach. Some projects run linearly; others loop back to refine understanding — but every stage builds toward one goal: a proven solution.

1. Investigate

What we do: On-site investigation, discussions with your team, and definition of parameters to measure. We establish success criteria so everyone knows what “good” looks like. If gaps emerge later, we return to refine understanding.

Outcome: Clear definition of the problem and agreed objectives.

2. Test & Measure

What we do: Select instrumentation, control conditions for accuracy, and capture data that reflects real system behaviour. The same engineer who measures also analyses, ensuring continuity and precise interpretation.

Outcome: Reliable, traceable measurement data that informs design and defines the verification standard.

3. Analyse

What we do: Pinpoint root causes of vibration, noise or failure; validate system behaviour against expectations; refine simulations and models to match measured results. Every detail from testing is carried into the analysis.

Outcome: Precise, evidence-based understanding of the problem, grounded in measurement.

4. Design

What we do: Engineer robust, practical solutions validated in simulation and grounded in measurement and analysis to ensure real-world reliability.

Outcome: Fully engineered design, ready for implementation.

5. Support

What we do: Implement and verify the solution on-site, test against the original success criteria, and provide adjustments if needed. Ongoing support is available.

Outcome: Proven solution, confirmed by final testing, with support in service.

Why this process matters: By combining decades of hands-on experience, precision in measurement, rigorous analysis, and data-grounded design, every solution we deliver is not only well designed — it is proven to work in the real world.
