About the Director

Paul Schmitz, MBA CEng MIMechE MIoA is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with 29 years in product design, vibration, dynamics, reliability, testing and FEA across aerospace, manufacturing and research.

“Vibration is the Achilles’ heel of mechanical engineering — we build dynamics into product design from day one.”

Accreditations & Standards

We design and validate to BS/EN/ISO, API, RTCA/DO‑160 and MIL‑STD‑810, preparing evidence packs for regulatory compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is your approach different from CAD‑only design?

We combine physics‑led CAD with FEA, modal testing, and field measurements. This eliminates issues before certification, cutting rework and programme risk.

Which standards and environments do you design for?

Typical targets include RTCA/DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑810, relevant BS/EN/ISO and API. We account for vibration, shock, thermal, humidity and acoustic/NVH from day one.

What’s the usual engagement process?

Requirements & environments → concept & FEA → prototype & correlation → test & evidence packs. A scoping workshop produces a plan with deliverables, risks and a certification path.

How do you handle IP and confidentiality?

We work under NDA as standard. Models, drawings and test data remain your IP; we provide traceable calculation notes and compliance evidence packs.

Ready to Design With Confidence?

Our integrated approach to analysis, measurement, testing and compliance shortens time‑to‑certification and boosts reliability. If you need product design services or expert product development engineering, we can help.
